Eelus, in the eyes of the Nebulans, was a danger to everything around him. Their attempts to enhance his cybernetics uncovered the fact that Eelus was vampiric in nature, enjoying the blood of other gigans to fuel himself, and is able to exert a low level of mind control over those around him. His intelligence staggered them, his near escape on various ocassions prompted them to lock Eelus away, afraid to terminate him because of his potential, but more afraid of setting him free. When Munnin and Malidicus escaped, it was enough of distraction for Eelus to escape as well.
Eelus posesses a powerful venom in his fangs that, if injected in a large dose, begins to cause muscle spasms as well as technological deterioration via a degereative chemical. Eelus will usually only inject a small amount, the chemical breakdown making it easier to control the minds of his victims. He is immune to his own venom. Eelus was gifted with a technique called Maximum Impact, giving him the ability to spontaneously combust. The resulting explosion can range from a concentrated blast to clear his personal space, or if enough energy is stored, the blast can devastate two square miles. Once Eelus killed Shockwave and acquired his remaining Magna sphere, his Maximum Impact technique was able to be modified into an EMP (Electro-Magnetic Pulse).
