Hunnin is the brother of Munnin. When Munnin was destroyed by Trajan, Hunnin immediately sensed what had happened, left his assignment and immediately headed towards the gigan homeworld. When Hunnin discovered what had happened to Munnin he went berserk, threatening to destroy the plant itself if he wasn't led to his brother's killer.
Hunnin was one of the few gigans whose body and mind were able to handle the Planet Buster conversion. The Nebulan's excitement over the beast prompted them to attempt taking him a step further, constructing indestructible energy discs that follow his mental commands. If Hunnin is disabled, the discs will automatically protect him, creating barriers and/or blasts of power until he has regained consciousness. The discs also serve as energy siphons, drawing power from a tiny modified planet the Nebulans set close to the gigan Homeworld. As long as the planet exists, Hunnin will be powered.
