Powers:
The full extent of Kaleida's powers
are unknown, as she tends to use her powers with varying intensities
at different moments. Kaleida possesses a pair of wings, varied
from the regular female Gigan design. In addition, Kaleida has
a second set of wings, a pair normally seen on the Planet Buster
Gigans worked on by the Nebulans. The intensity of the lasers
comprising this second set is slightly less than Toros' pair.
Kaleida has developed an eye, forehead and mouth beam, all of
which can be used with devastating results. Kaleida's take-off
into flight alone can result in massive destruction, her propulsion
system is highly combustible and will leave deep craters if she
ignites them while still on the ground.
Origin:
In an attempt to create the Gigan the
Nebulans expected Gaiganny to become, Kaleida was plucked from
her home and experimented upon. After numerous attempts to transform
Kaleida into the Planet Buster they wished her to be, the experiment
went awry. Kaleida's system was unable to handle the enchancements,
resulting in severe muscle and nerve trauma. Deemed a failure,
Kaleida was released from the Nebulan stronghold and left for
dead. Never did the Nebulans expect Kaleida to somehow drift back
into Homeworld's atmosphere, and plunge back to the planet they
had taken her from. Landing squarely on the prone body of Toros,
the two failed Planet Busters bled upon one another, the unsound
mixture resulting in Kaleida's revival and the acquisition of
immense powers from Toros' blood. Unfortunately, Kaleida's mind
never recovered, and she has taken on Toros' fractured and sometimes
cryptic speech patterns. To a lesser extent, she too hears the
voices Toros hears. But rather than allow them to torment her,
Kaleida lives a carefree life, talking joyfully back to the voices
in her head without a care in the world.

Every time Des and
I do an rpg that includes Kaleida, I like her more and more. After
creating Toros I started thinking about what kind of female would
possibly be interested in him after being exposed to his insanity
for any length of time. The answer was simple, another psycho!
Like I've said before, a lot of people believe the psychotic to
be the freest people in the world, and that's what this couple
is. They're free, have no worries, and are too preoccupied with
one another to care what anyone else thinks of them. Hehe, they're
so cute... Kaleida's personality itself I'm finding to be more
and more interesting. She's a free spirit in every sense of the
word, and her manner around others is just, well, funny. She's
naive yet knowing, innocent and yet she's been subject to the
cruelties of the Nebulans. She and Toros are a match made in Heaven
if you ask me...
