The mind beast was sent to the homeworld in order to mentally destroy Gaiganny. Since her affections seemed to be for the gigan named Gogar, the Nebulans believed a more subtle approach could be taken, and Gaiganny slowly turned against her mate. This would make removing her from the general populace easier. If the mind beast was unable to break Gaiganny's mind, he would simply take her by force and return to the Nebulan homeworld.

Funny, this was one of the few creatures I designed to NOT be a gigan type, I thought for the kind of weird stuff he was doing to Gaiganny it would make sense for the being to ressemble nothing the gigans were really used to seeing, making it a bit more frightening.
