 Powers:

Shockwave is the first gigan to be trusted with the experimental Magna spheres, large crystalline spheres that give whomever wears them the ability to control and manipulate any and all bodies of metal. Alone, Shockwave possesses great physical strength, a very powerful eyebeam, and great agility. Given the Magna spheres, Shockwave's power was doubled, as well as granting him the ability to literally bend metal to to his will. It was discovered that not only could the magna spheres be used to control metal, they are also capable of emitting a strong blast of raw energy.

Origin:

Arrogant beyond belief, Shockwave's already massive ego was rocketed to new heights once given the experimental Magna spheres by the Nebulans. His attitude is always such that he looks down upon everyone he comes into contact with, often speaking to others as though they were children. He believes no one could possibly understand the complex workings of his mind. Shockwave has been known to abuse his powers when he knows he is not being monitored by the Nebulans, often forcing other Gigans to kneel before him, infinitely amused by their helplessness.

 

Notes from the Creator

Shockwave was my third attempt to create a Gigan that would be the one to slap Talon around and abduct him (I'm sure Des is happy about that ;) I'm pretty happy with him, and enjoyed creating his personality... Heck, I know I'D be pretty arrogant if *I* could control metal.. Hehe... While I'm glad that Shockwave is the one to get rid of Talon, I've also grown fond of him because he too presents a concept that both Des and I were thinking about: What would magnets, or magnetism do to a Gigan, considering about 1/2 of their bodies are naturally composed of metal. Shockwave answers that question, he does pretty much anything he wants.
