Powers:
Treece is a walking arsenal. He has
been fitted with a visor that allows him to see clearly in almost
any condition, as well as produce an intense heat and freezing
beam. Treece can fire a thunder ray from his mouth which has the
power to shatter almost any object it hits. Missile launchers
are concealed in Treece's left shoulder pad, left portion of his
chest, as well as his right knee pad. Treece possesses a mega
cannon built into his left arm. If fired at full power the cannon
has the devastation factor of a nuclear bomb. In addition to these
attributes, Treece in unnaturally strong, the limits of his strength
are unknown.
Origin
Treece was intended to be the perfect
clone, but the Nebulans had not yet perfected the process and
were forced to literally re-attach Treece because of the rapid
deterioration of his natural body. Treece was stabilized, with
the dead sections of his body being removed and replaced by machines.
Upon recovery, it was discovered that Treece's intelligence had
suffered more than anything else, reduced to the point where he
could do nothing on his own unless instructed to do so by the
Nebulans. Soon he was deemed a failure and sentenced to be terminated.
One week before his final shutdown, the Nebulans decided to team
Treece with another Gigan type by the name of Gaval. It was discovered (much to the Nebulans'
delight) that the duo worked flawlessly together. It was then
that Treece was literally given to Gaval to control. It was also
noted that the only time Treece has initiated any type of independent
thought is when he is working alongside Gaval, and so it was decided
the two would remain together. Currently, Treece is capable of
free thought, but remains with limited intelligence slightly higher
than that of a drone.

Notes
from the Creator |
One of the main reasons
I like Treece is that he puts forth an interesting concept, never
before had one Gigan been put in charge of another. I guess in
this Alternate world of Planet Busters, revivals, and psychotic
gigans that shouldn't seem so profound, but I believe it is. I
think it's really something that a monstrous arsenal like Treece
was entrusted to a Gigan that probably could never physically
force him to do something if Treece didn't want to. Treece also
answers the question of what Gogar would do if he met someone
who had more metal components than himself. Treece answers that
question, though not very well. Since he's so mentally damaged,
he could never fully articulate to Gogar what he's thinking, provided
he has many thoughts outside of the task Gaval presents to him.
Overall, I think Treece performs his task to a tee, and hope to
possibly do something else with the idea of him in a later story...
