Vhenom allowed himself to be captured by the Nebulans in hopes of receiving the most advanced enhancements. He impressed them with his abilities, gaining enough favor with the right divisions to warrant him the right to receive the newly developed technology. By modifying the premise of Hunnin's Energy Discs, the Nebulans created the Absorbtion Technology. Instead of only being able to produce energy, the discs, once crossed, are capable of absorbing the powers and abilities of whomever the subject shoots with the beam, channeling the abilities into the Vhenom. From that point Vhenom can call upon the powers he's taken, an will acquire a new appearance accordingly. In time the subject will regain their powers, but Vhenom retains the powers he has taken. After having the devices implanted into his wings and being sent on a few trial runs, was deployed to the Nebulan Homeworld.
Note that Vhenom had no real desire to follow the Nebulan's orders, only to acquire their technology and take over the gigan homeworld for himself. He does, however, agree with their concerns of Gaiganny and Trajan being threats, but only until he can sap their power for his own.
