Stats

Name Silva
Height 73 Meters
Weight 37,000 Metric Tons
1st appearance No Contest

 Powers:

Silva has mastered a number of hand to hand fighting techniques, his kicks have been known to shatter solid rock. He is capable of firing both an eye and mouth beam, both of which vary in power. Jutting from each of Silva's arms are thick curved spikes, used both as offensive weapons as well as defensive in blocking strikes from other Gigans. Silva's most notable power is the ability to produce what is known as Silva-Mist. A silver cloud, Silva-Mist coats the adversary in a silvery sheen and slowly begins to shut down the muscles. In the most extreme cases, the body will shut down completely and the targeted victim will die.

Origin:

Not much is known about Silva's past, but it is known that he spent an undetermined number of years traveling with Theromin. Apparently the two became good friends before parting their separate ways. Cocky and confident, Silva tends to wander, searching for both new territories and a worthy opponent. Silva had been unaware of Theromin's death until told so by Gogar. After a brief battle over a patch of land, the two became fast friends, bonded by not only the respect they hold for one anther's ability, but sharing the friendship of the departed Theromin.

 Notes from the Creator

When I first created Silva, he was actually supposed to be an alternative to Animus. Des and I were trying to come up with a basis for a story that would revolve around Gogar and Theromin, so I came up with two options: Animus or Silva. The original personality I had planned to give Silva was a bit different. He was going to be a very snobbish, uppity gigan type whose prize possession was his looks and land above all else. However, We opted to use Animus for the duo to battle against, and Silva fell by the wayside(BTW, at this point he was nameless.) After the death of Theromin and Des' dissatisfaction with Talon, we realized Gogar still needed another friend. I dug out my picture of Silva and immediately started coming up with a story to introduce the two. Silva's personality was tweaked a bit, now he was no longer to be snobby, he would be more like a gruffer version of Gogar. His confidence and cocky attitude rivals Gogar, but nothing moreso than his skill. Des and I like to joke that the pair are actually a lot like Ken and Ryu of Street Fighter, and I guess that's true, since one cannot defeat the other, and they have a high amount of respect for one another because of it.
