...Hmm, I read that letter from Saiko, and you know- I
give up, I really do. There’s no point in my working
on stuff anymore. Everyone there (and a good majority
of the online G-Fandom) seems to have it set in their
minds that there’s no difference in your stuff and
mine, so it must be yours. Don’t get me wrong Des,
I’m completely NOT blaming you for this, it’s not your
fault everyone seems to assume my work is yours.
I’m
just tired of working on projects and getting them
done only to find out hardly anyone knows (or wants to
acknowledge) that I had anything to do with it. You
can only fight online opinion for so long before you
either get sick of it or come off sounding like a
pompous jerk, which is probably how I’d come off if I
had to correct everyone who thought something I did
was yours. In my situation, there really isn’t much I
can do to change things. Sigh, it’s been like this
for awhile, I guess it was only a matter of time
before it got to this point. It’s annoying since I
really DON’T want to stop working on things, but at
the same time what’s the point of putting countless
hours in on a project if people assume someone else
did it?
This is probably why I got a little uneasy when you
mentioned awhile back that Mike (not my best friend Mike,
different one
) couldn’t tell the
difference in the art gallery for Gigan Species. I’d
been thinking about stuff like this since I found out
how many people assumed you wrote Godzilla vs. Trajan.
I think it’s pretty safe to presume the same holds
true for the stuff on Gigan species as well. Sure you
can correct people, but should you really have to do
it again and again and again? This has been a
constant thing for a long time now.

Sigh, so for now I think I’ll cool it on G-related
projects, it’s too frustrating right now, and the fact
that my site is still on the fritz doesn’t help.

Gotta run, but I’ll talk to you later Des.
